Ashley Arkels

 

           Ashley Arkels, sometimes billed as Ashley Christine, is a relative newcomer to the motion picture industry.  This promising young actress possesses many talents and is a perfect fit for the role of Karen Armstrong in The Edison Death Machine.

 

           “Karen is a young woman in her early to mid twenties,” says Ashley, “who knows what she wants and how to get it. She's intelligent and witty with street smarts and a criminal mindset. Karen sticks to this lifestyle more for the thrill of the chase than for the catch. She also is very compassionate and caring, especially when it comes to a particular hostage!”

 

           “I would describe Karen's relationship with Renee' like he were her "big brother." She is loyal to him and has much respect for him as he has always taken care of and looked out for her. When she was still fresh in the game, Renee took her under his wing. She’s a survivor and does what it takes to get the job done.”

 

          

           When asked about the project, Ashley says, “This was really one of the first times I had ever really performed on camera. I have to thank George so much for giving me this opportunity. I definitely learned a lot and feel more comfortable than I did when we first started shooting. This absolutely wont be the end of the road for me. I'm not satisfied! It will be a great addition to my extremely short reel!. I can’t wait to get started on another project although I really have a lot on my plate right now.”

           A native of New Albany, IN, Ashley is currently enrolled full-time at the University of Louisville where she is studying business management and international business, as well as taking French, Italian and Spanish.

           A track star in high school, Ashley has also returned to training to run for U of L next year.

           “It's been a couple years since I ran those hurdles but I already talked to the coach and I'm pumped!”

           Ashley also works as a second-shift merchandiser for Coca-Cola.

           “I also love to sing and lead worship occasionally at my church in New Albany, IN, Northside Christian Church.” Ashley says  “I love the youth program there so I go back occasionally and help them get krunk for God! I was a member of many choirs, the most recent being the well known a capella choir at New Albany H.S. I enjoy writing and just got a little keyboard for Christmas so we'll see if I can’t put a little something together.”

           “Overall, I love people and making them smile! As you can see I stay busy and I wouldn't have it any other way right now. I'm determined to do EVERYTHING! I don't know if the world is ready for me, but here I come!”
