Emily Wesley

From an early age Emily knew she enjoyed being in the spotlight. Her first play was “Annie Jr.”. From then on Emily continued acting in plays every year and was president of the Drama Club in eighth grade. It was that year that Emily got her first leading role as The Devil in “The Devil and Danielle Webster”.

For the past five years Emily has been acting onstage at Somerset Community College. Emily also participated in the annual Somerset Community College Teen Theatre Festival and won the Best Comedy Monologue Award in 2003 and 2004 as well as second place awards in Dramatic Monologue (2006) and Dramatic Scene (2004, 2005, and 2006).

Some of her award winning roles include Lady Anne in “Richard the III” and Ismene in “Antigone”. Emily also wrote an original scene entitled “Jake and Laurie” for which she took home an award for in 2004. Along with acting, Emily is an assistant director of Shakespeare Summer Youth Drama Camp which is held at Somerset Community College.

While Emily has played numerous comedy roles, Southern Belles, fairies, and a 1930’s pot head onstage she has always wanted to be in a horror movie. ZP International is making that dream come true. Emily is a lifelong horror fan and oddly enough was born on Halloween.

Along with being a lifelong horror fan, Emily is also a huge fan of classic and cult movies. Her list of heroes and her greatest acting influences include Rita Hayworth, Vivien Leigh, Grace Kelly, Lauren Bacall, Elvira, the Russ Myer girls, and Fay Wray.

Emily is a 2007 graduate of Somerset High School and is currently attending Somerset Community College and will then transfer to the University of Kentucky to finish her degree in Theatre Administration.
