George Bonilla and ZP International to attend AMERICAN FILM MARKET in Los Angeles

Friday, October 8th, 2010
Hello, I am sending this out for all of the filmmakers and producers with a finished product. We have just finished our latest feature. We have had four legitimate offers of distribution. Each offer has been less than what I think it should be. I am in contact with many other filmmakers. All are very disappointed with offers from distribution companies.
I have a friend in Los Angeles who is very connected to the industry on the sales side. Her opinion is that in order to make real deals we need to be dealing on the West Coast. I agree. THE AMERICAN FILM MARKET is coming up next month. I am planning to attend. It is one of the top 3 markets in the world and is the ONLY one held in North America. It is THE place to buy and SELL rights to Independent Motion Pictures. We have 9 active titles that we are going to represent. I see this as an opportunity for ALL of us.
I will fly to LA and attend the show for four full days and nights. It will be very costly. I believe we should maximize this opportunity. I would like to open this up to others in our area with finished movies. Here is what I propose. We will represent your finished movie as well. We are going to limit this to 10 movies only. We are also only going to take those that are really ready to sign deals.
What I will need is screeners or preview screeners (of finished movies). Screeners should be in a paper sleeve with a full color face. Contact info attached or preferably printed on the disc and sleeve. It needs to look and feel professional. We will NOT make deals for you. We will introduce your movie to the buyers. We will then have them contact you! It will be your job to negotiate your movie deal. This is a no strings attached offer. Most Producers reps take 25% of any deals they begin (in any way). We take nothing but a small fee (see below). You can be assured that your movie will be pitched right along with ours. We are going to make a synopsis list then answer questions about what ever movie they have interest in. Those of you who know me know that I will do my best. I see this as an incredible chance for us ALL to get our state recognized by world wide buyers. I do not intend to leave there without a deal. We think we have to bring our products to them. I will have an very big advantage. My friend, Beth, who has been in the industry and attended AFM for years, will be showing me around and making introductions.
I will ask that each person whose movie we represent pay us a very small fee to help offset costs. Believe me when I tell you it is cheap (I am an independent producer like you). The fee truly will just offset and not cover our cost in any way. We will NOT be making money on this trip unless we make a deal on our pictures. Contact us for more information. If you have a finished, ready to go to market movie and are seeking world wide distribution, please contact me right away. We promise you that you will NOT find a better chance to get your movie in the hands of the AFM buyers. Research the market. You will see why we, and you, should be represented there.
